Big Bear NYE

A most odd experience.5 hours on that highway to snow and aspen wanton wishful... We spent most of the day trying to find the snow chains to climb the mountain... On arrival, some 5 hours after departure, we learn, we are "AND    many     more"..no mention we (glj) were actually playing...odd, as it could be argued, GLJ was the only band with a singer that actually sang the songs that the other bands pretended..., at any rate, it was dead cold and putting chains on wheels is no joy... Big bear is pleasant enough, if you like your winter wonderland to have star bux/el polo loco and Denny's... we stayed at the Best western, the shower was, the finest ever schemed, in fact, I'd recommend you take this trip, just to enjoy that large fat head sprinkler and the waterfall...   Show was fine, tho' it was odd to be acknowledged as the greatest opening band of all time... I introduced us "&Many more" as that was how we were posted....sigh, thirty years and it's come to this LOL...Anyway, the breakfast at the BW was fantastic and I awoke earlier enough o witness my favourite team(Tottenham Hotspur) spank CHELSEA!!!   To be fair, the drives up the back and beyond and the return down the mountain was spectacular.... so my next project fer shure will be called..&   Many More....for some reason, this editing tool on this blog keeps throwing in AMP.... and many more...

This tour never happened  1997...   To think, 17 years on.... Happy New Year...

With some sadness..Sold our Toyota Dolphin today. I think, the only vehicle that actually had home like memories and attachment. Sigh... It needed a lot of cosmetic work that I couldn't muster... Might be a measure of our thriving economy, the 3 people that fought for her carriage, were all living in their vehicles and I guess  the RV is a step up from that.... I elected to sell it to a Lady, she had enough for a deposit and will pay me the balance (and ride away) when she gets her next check.. go figure... Still, felt like I did the right thing, a homeless woman is a measure of a totally failed and callous system... I did something good I hope...

Finally finding a moment to correct the false narratives..An honest account of Gene Loves Jezebel is due... I must comfort the real fans with, at least, a factual account of the otherness... It will not reflect well on our Lisboa Lions.
